Host: Bill Coghlan
Mission
First Person Civil War Podcast retells the stories of the Soldiers and Officers on the ground in the Battles of the Civil War.
Goals
The men in Union and Confederate ranks wrote down their experiences during and after the war and even published their own books. Though many have become obscure, these stories are out there and more accessible than ever. This podcast preserves these stories by re-introducing them to a Civil War audience around the world.
Who am I
I am a US Army Veteran with ten years of service and a Historian with a Masters Degree in History from Western Connecticut State University. I apply my experience by working and volunteering at museums such as: The U.S. Cavalry Museum, The Frontier Army Museum, and the Putnam History Museum. This podcast furthers my work with preservation in my focus field of study: The Civil War.
